Nestled amidst the lush terrain, just 3.5 kilometres east of Nuwara Eliya en route to Kandapola, the Pedro Estate and Tea Centre invites you to embark on a journey to the origins of your morning cup of tea.

Founded in the year 1885, Pedro Estate sprawls over an impressive expanse of approximately 670 hectares. This sprawling estate boasts a workforce of around 1,250 dedicated labourers, supported by an additional 50 administrative staff. What truly sets Pedro Estate apart is its unwavering commitment to ethical business practices, emphasising the well-being of estate workers. This dedication is evident through community cooperatives, improved housing facilities, and access to quality education.

The estate primarily focuses on tea production destined for the open auction market. However, they also take pride in packaging select teas under the brands "Mahagastotte" and "Lover's Leap," which are available at their inviting guest centre. Blue Field Tea Centre

This is situated approximately 45 minutes drive towards Kandy on the A5 highway. It's 1200 m above mean sea level and is close to the town of Ramboda.

Tea Cup

​This is at Rozella snd is an idyllic stop-over for freshly brewed Ceylon Tea when travelling from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya on the A7 highway just before Hatton. The location is easily recognizable by the large teacup in the front garden. 

Overlooking the misty mountains, the" Zesta Tea Cup" is a popular destination among both foreign and local visitors. The Tea Cup offers brewed tea and snacks in addition to being a tea center.

Tea Castle

Perched on a hillside overlooking the splendid Devon Fall and the picturesque Devon and St. Claire valley, the Tea Castle stands proudly at the 82nd kilometer post on the A7 highway.

A visionary endeavour by Mlesna, this Tea Castle is a testament to the breathtaking beauty of its surroundings and is constructed in the style of medieval Scotland, paying homage to James Taylor, the pioneer of Ceylon Tea. Known as "The Mlesna Castle," it provides a serene and tranquil ambience for tea enthusiasts to indulge in the exquisite tea offerings available at the centre.
